As a non-beer drinker I am completely upfront about the fact that I think beer tastes and smell like ass.
Ok so I really dislike the smell of beer. I can only imagine that beer smells much like it tastes, but I can really only guess as I've only ever had two sips: from a Corona, (as the "girly beer" apparently. I thought perhaps it would be slightly less than vile, and I was.....wrong), and a James Boag, since we were AT the factory doing a tour and it wasn't getting any fresher.
So I was driving along in the car munching on some Chicken Twisties,
quenching my thirst with a Caffeine Free Diet Coke 
and somehow the flavour combination of the two, I realised I was getting a beer-like aftertaste. When I burped (it was the Coke!) there was a definite beer flavour!

If you hate the smell of beer, you'd better not come to my house any time soon. H is on a brewing rampage. Its ok now but on brewing night the entire house reeks of hops. And he prances about raving about the fabulousness of it all. Its enough to make me want to sleep at mums!
I'm not a beer gal either, but I do like the odd shandy. Its quite sad really.
I was, however, rather pleasd to discover that you can buy Montheiths Radler Beer in Aus now (at selected bottlos) - we did a tour of Montheiths when in NZ and the Radler was the only one I liked. Its quite girly. Perhaps something for you to keep an eye out for if you're feeling adventerous?
